Princetonian wonders why Kerry lost

This echoes much of what is being said on the left, and what has comprised many of Vetes' posts. See, the problem is the American people elected someone who is a stupid as they are! We need someone who can talk down to those stupid Americans in middle America!

Keep it up guys, and keep losing elections.

There is actually a lot of truth to his writing. If the left wants to stand a chance, they do need to talk the language of black/white and actually care about the difference. The ability to see that there is right and wrong in this world is strongly linked to the ability to make empirical decisions. If you can't observe the world around you and see that some things should be done while others should not, how am I suppose to believe that you can observe the world around you and make a logical fiscal policy decision?

It is sad that the left is so slow to realize that their agenda is rapidly deviating from the will of the American people. It's bad enough we are stuck with a two party system, but it's even worse that the two leading parties can't seem to get most things right. If the Democrats would do a reality check, they might actually find something to offer the people and make our political process a competitive process between two parties each offering something of substance. As it is now, neither party really has to work that hard for the vote, and people like me have no option but to support a thrid party and lose rather than give more credibility to those who take our votes for granted.
