What is it with politicians' inability to stay out of trouble? DeLay has waaayy too much at stake to be included in the same sentence as "redistricting" or "campain finance abuse." Even if the charges are bogus, it really shakes my confidence in our leaders.
This is why I am a registered independent...

a lot of politicians - liberal and conservative - are crooked, no doubt about it.
In my personal beliefs and ideologies - if one follow conservative principles to a T, you will not get in trouble. I should rephrase that - just follow the rules. But then again, I'm never in the public eye, so it's probably easier said than done.
