I wonder if GM's been been selling them Negro-Edition Escalades that put out reduced emissions? Or maybe all their gold jewelry and teeth reacts with the C02 somehow...

That's the stupidest figure I've ever seen - and that's why I poked fun at it. Of course Blacks emit less than Whites. They are more likely to live in urban areas, where there is more mass transit available. They are more likely to be poor and less mobile. They are probably in higher proportion in the Southern US, where more temperate conditions allow for less fuel usage. And yet the author somehow imputes this to a real statistical disparity between blacks and whites. A more meaningful comparison would be blacks and whites of the same income levels, living in approximately the same area. I'm guessing the number was derived without the preceding factors taken into account.
But why question a figure unless it supports your thesis? Like the supposed correlation between CO2 and "climate change"?
