The blog of engineers who once upon a time spent sleepless nights procrastinating on or near the New Mexico Tech campus and share the ideals of conservatism.

Hmmmm, wasting time and money performing useless tasks, drunken stupors, reckless driving...we'd make great Congressmen!
Engicon in '06! Slogan: "The engine of our economy is upside down and leaking. We need Engicon to drive the steel pipe of conservative principles under the hood to wedge the engine of our economy back into place."
Heh heh. With the staunch support of my allies, I will push our economy back up the hill to success!
Maybe I should stop school though... are people with graduate degrees allowed to be Congressmen? How about engineering degrees of any kind?
Dude, you think engineers are going to ever be allowed back in the White House? Two of the worst Presidents of all time were engineers - Hoover and Carter (although I think Hoover's bad rap is undeserved in some cases). Leonid Brezhnev was also an engineer! Stupid commie.
The only other gov't official I could find who was an engineer was John Sununu.
The only congressman I know of who has a graduate degree in science is Rush Holt, my Dem Congressman. He's got a PhD from NYU in physics and he used to be the head of PPPL. He's a typical Dem - lib up the wazoo.
